I am hooked. Green smoothies are a-mazing. I know. I know. They look a little scary, but hey…Halloween is only weeks away. No better time to get the kids to give ’em a try!
This month I was asked by one of the owners of a leading supplement company to provide a guest post for them. Woo to the hoo! My first guest post. So I invite you to skip on over to their website and read up on all the wonderful benefits of green smoothies. You will also find two green smoothie recipes that are great for the beginner. They use baby spinach (rather than something with a stronger taste like kale) and are sweet and delicious!
Then come on back and let me know your thoughts….
Have you tried green smoothies before?
Do you have a favorite recipe you can share?

Hi Fran, I love the look of these and I think they would make great breakfast options. I’ve never blended spinach before though, does it break down well or are you left with ‘bits’?
Chef Fran says
Hi Sharon – The spinach blends up very well. I prefer to use baby spinach because it is a milder taste and the leaves are not as thick but either should work just fine. They are an excellent option for breakfast and are surprisingly filling.

I love green smoothies so much they don’t even look scary to me any more. You’re right; Halloween is a great time to introduce someone to one!

I know! Aren’t they so delicious? Do you have a favorite recipe to share?

I love smoothies, you can pack so many wonderful things in them. Lately I’ve been using the HAPPFAMILY HAPPYSQUEEZES which have Salba, fruits and veggies in them. I mix one of those into yogurt & fresh fruit, it makes enough for my boys and I to have them in the morning.

Ah what a good idea! Thanks Trina
